Kef's Internets
My big fat monument to myself.
The music section is by far the biggest section here, and it’s still not all that big, but check it out anyway. It’s pretty much the only interesting thing I’ve got.

New NES cover of Eye of the Tiger in the music section.
E-mail outage
August 14, 2011
The e-mail address given on this site wasn’t working for a couple of weeks or so. It should be working now.
New hosting
July 24, 2011
furrykef.com has moved from NearlyFreeSpeech.NET to sitevalley.com. There are no hard feelings and in fact I like NFSN more than I like sitevalley. I just like having the power of a VPS, and NFSN doesn’t provide that. The way things are headed (considering LLTVG’s costs, and also a new site I’m starting), the VPS might soon not be any more expensive anyway.
Will this last? Dunno. Guess we’ll find out. :)
A wild pokeymon appears!
June 07, 2011
Two new NSFs, one from Pokémon and an original called Life’s Like That.
Forus gone
February 21, 2011
The forus (i.e. forum) has been removed. It’s not really needed and became a target for spam bots anyway.
In other news, LLTVG, that is, Learning Languages Through Video Games, is progressing well, albeit slowly. If you’re learning Japanese, maybe you should check it out!
Old news
This is news from before the Jekyll conversion, so they don’t have their own blog posts.
Learning Languages Through Video Games
(October 4, 2010)
Well, I’ve started a new website: Learning Languages Through Video Games. It’s pretty much what it sounds like. Hope to see you there!
Hands On! Tangrams, and a lonely little island
(March 2, 2010)
Wow, it’s been pretty much a whole year since I’ve updated. No wonder I don’t get visitors. ;) Soon I’ll switch to Wordpress and will probably update much more often.
Here’s some very important news that I’ve been neglecting to mention for the past few months: I’ve been programming (along with several other people) a Nintendo DS game with Island Officials and it finally came out! It’s called “Hands On! Tangrams.” Get your hands on it now.
I’ve also uploaded another tune, The Lonely Little Island, which is my first piece of music with Island Officials. I’ve actually got more stuff than that to upload, and I wanted to upload it all in one shot, but I haven’t gotten around to finish all the music for that epic update. But this tune is so important to me — both due to its quality and its status as an IO tune — that I can’t let it just sit there.
The Lonely Little Island was written for this flash game, but the version in the music section is much higher quality.
Forus
(March 4, 2009)
We have a new forus now. No, it’s not a forum. It’s a forus. What’s the difference? Well, in Latin, “forum” is a neuter noun. “Forus” would be a masculine noun. So it’s a masculine forum. (Women are permitted, provided that they’re man enough.) Also, I like how it spells “for us.”
Now get to postin’.
New NES music!
(October 16, 2008)
And this time you don’t even need an NSF player to play it! This time I’ve made an NES version of the theme to Leisure Suit Larry. Go to the music page to check it out. I also uploaded an OGG version of the NES Mute City theme too!
Lemming-o Paint
(August 3, 2008)
In 2001 I made a rendition of my favorite Lemmings tune for a Mario Paint contest held by Zophar’s Domain. (It didn’t win.) For the first time, you can see it straight off YouTube:
Nothing happening
I’m still alive, not that anybody has asked. To be honest, I’m having trouble writing things for this website since there’s so much else that I’m doing, not to mention that I want to redesign the site and don’t really want to work on it much until that’s done, yet I don’t even have time to begin that.
But there is a small bit of news. One is that I’m not drawing oekaki much anymore. (D’oh!) The other is that I’m now a member of lang-8.com, a website where you can keep a blog in a foreign language and people will come along and correct your mistakes. (Of course, it helps to make yourself known in the community and make friends so people actually will come along and correct your mistakes. It’s not hard, though…all you need to do is make a few posts in the community areas or correct the English — or whatever — of some other people who natively speak the language you’re learning.) My journal page there is here. I currently post in upper-intermediate-level Spanish, but I should be posting in very basic Japanese within a couple of months.
Do be careful when posting there, though. For some reason, when you post in your journal or make a comment, it shows you a preview and you have to click “post” again before it actually posts. People seem to get bitten by this problem all the time…
Oekaki
April 19, 2008 — A couple of days ago I started doing oekaki. Around last night I started actually getting good at it. I’m currently posting on the FUS oekaki board and currently have the majority of the content there. (Not hard since the board’s not even a week old yet.)
Oh, by the way, I forgot to mention. Two days ago was my 24th birthday. Yay.
New music; OGGs
April 18, 2008 — I added some new music. Actually, most of it’s old music, but it’s new to you. Or something. I also added OGGs of my module music, so you don’t have to worry about whether you have a module player. I plan to do the same for my NES music in a few days as well.
Looking for EarthBound ROM hackers
Anybody who has any relevant info on hacking the game EarthBound, as well as detailed information like battle formulae and such, report to this wiki immediately and post everything you know! I’m trying to compile a technical encyclopedia of EarthBound stuff. :)
(EDIT: Fixed the link.)
Happy New Beer – 2008
Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, blah blah blah. Yeah, I’ll get some new stuff soon. Not that anybody’s asked. This place is like a desert. What’re you doin’ out here in the desert, anyways?
Art section open…sort of
Well, I got one lonely piece of art in my art section. Check it out.
The end of CIWTSOF?
July 22: There will probably be no further CIWTSOF comics — that’s redundant because it means “Comics I Want To Set On Fire comics,” but whatever — because I don’t read the comics anymore. If you’re wondering why I don’t read them anymore, have you actually checked out the CIWTSOF section?
